It was Christmas Eve in El Paso, 2004, and my wife and I were driving back from a church service. Snow had fallen that day and I pulled over to snap this picture of the oil refinery light to looked like a candle in cold, desert night. The juxtaposition of the snow and the fire of the refinery plant was intriguing to me.
